What kind of accent does Benny have anyway?
He looks fucking wild too.. Which makes him even more of a badass when it comes to casting him in film

He couldn't have put it in better words about the use of elbows. It takes away from the 1 on 1 competitiveness of the fight. This is why i never got into MMA. "Rear naked chokes" is a nice word that they use on TV so that they dont have to say "he's on a sleeper hold." Sleeper holds are dangerous and if a kid sees it, he will used it. I did, when i was in the 5th grade. A bigger kid used to beat me up and i put him on one. He passed out. I thought i killed him. It was too much for me. He lived.

@iamgodan I think your right, we were talking about a month ago and he said had a place in the "Valley" saying he was living close to the Movie Stars and doing fight choreography for films. Being from Australia I wasn't sure what "the Valley" meant? Thanks for the info :)

@randomguyri Which UFC events did Benny do commentary for? Your mistaken if you think any of the Gracie clan were intimidated by Benny's Judo.

What made Benny a hit back in the day was that when he fought. "his art showed up with him " meaning that when he kicked they LOOKED like karate kicks, when he punched, he looked like a boxer and when he threw, he looked like a judoka. He didn't look like a wild raging maniac like so many others did in that era. He also did the spinning kicks that conventional wisdom claimed to be impossible to do.

@randomguyri Damn that's a shame That would have been a great fight to see an probably a legendary encounter

benny did the commentary for early ufc events he got offered a fight agianst royce gracie but they couldnt agree to money then the offer was not there once the gracies found out benny was very experienced in judo.

I remember him. A tough dude with good technique. I don't care much about his race. He fought well.
