  • I went into this series knowing nothing about and I love it. I saw it at Barnes and Nobles and saw it had over 8 volumes so I decided that it must be good and I was right I liked Spider and his personality I bought the first three volumes and hoping to see more

  • Before I hit play, are there any spoilers?

  • @beatshagendaz

Yeah, I know. I meant it was the best stuff coming out of those places. Anything else they release is usually uninteresting or turned into some kind of Hollywood movie wannabe.

  • @jetflock To be fair Transmet has always been released by a major comic company. (Helix and later Vertigo are both part of DC).

  • Its better than any of the garbage released by the mainstream comic companies.

  • My favorite Transmetropolitan storylines are the done-in-one issue "Another Cold Morning" and the three part "Freeze Me with Your Kiss". Amazing stuff.

  • I meant break* not "brake, sorry XD

  • Great review.

The thing that separates Transmet from Preacher is the fact that Transmet stays consistently awesome all the way trough. Preacher (While the first five volumes are really, REALLY great) loses a lot of what made it special in the first place when Jesse Custer gets to Salvation (The Town I mean).

And that ending? Give me a fucking brake, I'm willing to bet Ennis didn't know how to end Preacher from the start. Transmet's ending, on the other hand, is amazing.

  • It gets way better after the first volume too

  • Transmetropolitan sounds like an ice cream flavor combined with a train.
