@zell777 So is therey any community that I can join? like video chat using skyp, voice chat, or anything that will inspire me? Like after learning few 3ds max, how do I learn modeling that comes in my mind and how to practice myself when it comes to deadline... etc... So should I continue my IT or get some job and focus on becoming a great 3D artist? How do I keep myself up? when my father is discouraging me? tnx a lot for your quick reply...

@zell777 Thanks a lot!

I love how you show that anyone can learn animation. As a self-taught animator whose done festivals and worked for "hollywood," it's great to see you encourage others by sharing your experiences. Awesome stuff. :)

@redfoxarts at 24, you are very young and you have a lot of time to learn more and make it into the animation industry, I had classmates that were over 40 years old when they started, and are doing great. You can definitely go back to school, or if you are comfortable enough get a basic job in some animation-related field to gain more experience, try small studios at first.

Very inspirational. Really interested in animation recently, I am in my final year of high school, any tips on where to begin after I graduate?

@JAHMEZ2NV don't wait until you graduate, start right now ;) ... The sooner the better. Start making a portfolio, draw a lot, all you can. I'd say try for these for college: CalArts, USC, Ringling, Savannah, VFS, CCAD (in that order, they are all good though).
