This is what hardstyle shuffle dance must have come from. Plus the melodies in hardstyle can get pretty similar to this and are sped up and have a swing to them. Instead of symphony they loop the gigue part nowadays as a MIDI file to play a supersaw and use the album or mix to build it into a symphonic piece. LOL

Dancing 'en pointe' is hard enough...but doing it whilst wearing a pair of Frankenstein Boot Clogs is going above and beyond the call of duty. Quite Excellent!

I wish I could stop watching the video but I can't. It really is so funny and so beautifully done.
The girl in the orange dress is the one with clogs on who ends up next to William at the end.
Even writing this I'm laughing. I wish I could have seen this live. I believe there's a DVD so I'm off to find it. If anyone knows how to contact William or the girl please let me know. Thanks to the uplader for so much pleasure.

I've loved this music since I was a child so that's 40 years of loving it. I've never seen the ballet because I'm a man (who happens to be gay) and I've always thought that ballet was for girls. 'Billy Elliot' changed that view a little but since 'finding' this video on YouTube my views have totally changed. I think William Tuckett is fantastic in this role and I'd love to get in touch with him. The girl in the orange dress is remarkable too and very pretty. I wish I knew who she was! BRILLIANT!
