Normally I enjoy Jian's interviewing style. Here, however, he can't seem to get away from the topic of hair or the movie about hair. Did Chris Rock's agent forbid Jian from asking him anything else? A pretty bland interview, no?

@JordanWebster07 Some people don't care. We kinda still do because we have to. Its in our heritage. The older generation had an idea of what "pretty" was. And it was white. Always. So there were few things they could change, other than their hair through painful chemicals and expensive tools. Those same women made their daughters endure it until today when they have the choice. But its hard to take it when grandma criticizes you for not perming your hair. I learned that from my sisters.
