I recommend viewing it in high quality, or you might not see much at some points in the video.
This is one huge pic I've been working on for the last two days. I had to speed up many parts of the video because it originally would have been 13 minutes long!
I learned a lot here, and tried yet another approach to digital drawing: drawing a sketch, then inking and finally coloring. Pretty much each color is on its own separate layer, with at the end something like 20 layers in all. Computer ran out of memory at one point while working on it!
At the very end I tried adding some texture to the closest 2 fire hydrants, I'm not sure if its noticable in the video though.
In all, the work must have taken me about 12-16 hours.
