The Giveaway

Note from Paige: "This is my oldest child "Sophie". Ten years ago, July 17th, I went to the Atlanta Humane Society to adopt a dog and walked out with a one year old American Bulldog mix. She was the biggest brat EVER! She was out of control and extremely dog aggressive (even though she was a perfect little angel while at the shelter). As I look back, I realize that it NEVER occurred to me to take her back like so many would have. We signed up for dog training and I worked with her. She was one tough cookie to train, but eventually, she got it...I'M THE BOSS!! She became a Happy Tails pet therapy dog and really enjoyed going in to retirement homes and entertaining the elderly with her many clever tricks. Now she is a star. She is the 'lead dog' in the Mostly Mutts Public Service Announcment (PSA) called "Giveaway". This PSA, directed by Kristen McGary, won the CINE Golden Eagle Award. Happy 10 year anniversary Sophie and thanks for all the love you share with me.

The CINE Golden Eagle awards, distinguishing excellence in professional, independent and student works, are recognized internationally as symbols of the highest production standards in film and television production. Among great talents whose first major awards included the CINE Golden Eagle are Steven Spielberg and Ron Howard.

In the Spring 2009 Competition, over 300 judges viewed and evaluated hundreds of distinguished entries. Experienced professionals in the field of film and video production, as well as subject matter experts, serve in a volunteer capacity.
