I'm disappointed. No mention of the colors at all until the forehead skin tone went in, which was too raw and too light. This probably sounds too critical but all of the beginning talk of 'movement' did not show in the final work which was completely frozen.

I was impressed with the model with good facial structure, but the artist did not draw the outline of her face square enough along the jaws, and the painting was too skinny. His colors were excellent.

I wasn't impressed with the likeness of the model AT ALL. He has a great reputation and this demo doesn't do justice to it.

Brilliant portrait, but the nose seemed a little 'bolbus', the models nose was thin

an active activity... interesting.

That's a super portrait! I am very impressed and somewhat jealous of your talent. Can you tell me what you mixed with the oil paints please, thanks, John.

I would like to know if there is an update to his book Solving problems, because I am not sure about some elements described there, specially lead.

@paintmixr1 I was thinking the same till I saw the painting at the end of the video. It might have looked different due to the painting's camera angulation... The nose is still diferent though xD
