@hobatu Btw why do you think the economy will crash? I can't talk to this lomocan guy anymore, he is trying to talk like a scholar, yet it sounds like he just got his degree in internet look-up.
-
@lomocan "Earning interest on money they don't have".... lol. Look bro you need to take at least economics 101. This is the basis of how banks fundamentally work. They use money THAT THEY DONT HAVE and lend it out to make interest on it. Banks are allowed to lend out 10 TIMES as much as they have in deposits. What do you think of that? LOL
Imbalances between supply and demand are the reasons behind boom-bust cycles. Nothing else.

"because of his competing currencies idea"
You're misconstruing what he means by "competing currencies"; it just means people should be able to trade in anything they want & gov should NOT be able to force them to use "legal currency", for example, if a town all of a sudden decides to use shells as currency to trade amongst themselves then they should be able to do it, right now if you did that, gov may put you in jail at its whim.

"until you get a nuclear waste disposal site in your backyard"
You mightn't be aware of it but one of the necessary principles of free market that Paul advaocates for includes protection of individuals & their rights from violation by other individuals so no, he wouldn't support someone dumping nuclear material in your backyard
"businesses pay more in currency conversion fees"
There'd be no "currency conversion fees" under REAL gold-standard & free markets system

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.
The two enemies of the people are criminals and government
My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government
- Thomas Jefferson
To suppose that any form of government will secure liberty or happiness without any virtue in the people is a chimerical idea
- James Madison
Impossible. A politician cannot have the same views today as he did 20 years ago. This video is fake! [end sarcasm] ;)
