Why does everybody lash the upper crossbeam in front of the trees? Is there a reason why you don't put it behind the supporting trees?
I ask because if you do it like in the video, all the weight comes to the ropes and if you put the beam behind the trees, most of the weight leans on the supporting trees.
I'm very curious, because everybody does it your way in youtube movies about it, so there MUST be a reason to do so.
@markbelg Your right, it should not be like that. All weight should be on the tree, not on the outside of it. Its a common mistake.

Not bad but some major issues. The weight should be pressing on the tree, not on the outside of it, otherwise it puts allot of stress on the rope.
