Kadan, CZ

Kadan is a sleepy post-industrial town in the Czech Republic which is retooling itself as a spa for foreign visitors.

It is worth a visit if you want a break from the hustle and bustle of Prague.

Very interesting. My grandmother's family came from Kadaň (immigrated to NY in 1890) and I've always wondered what the town looks like now.

Glad you could get a small preview, the pictures really don't do it justice. Definitely worth a visit to track down your ancestors there when you get the chance.

Kaaden was mainly inhabited by Sudeten Germans up to their expulsion in 1945 after a history of 700 years.
