THIS TRACK SOUNDS LIKE YOUR TYPICAL FANFARE OF SUNSHINE POP WITH THE BA BA BA'S AND A VERY CATCHY MELODY . BUT THEN SOMETHING COMES OVER IT ALONG THE WAY AND IT TAKES A SUDDEN TURN INTO A MONSTROUS PSYCH BREAK THEN SETTLES BACK DOWN ONCE THE STORM BLOWS OVER. A VERY SURPRISING TWIST TO SUCH AN INNOCENT AND BOUNCY TUNE.. PART OF THIS TUNE REMINDS ME OF CONCRETE AND CLAY BY THE GROUP UNIT FOUR PLUS TWO. I THINK SOMEONE NAMED EDDIE RAMBEAU DID IT AS WELL

The "ThomasGroup" name comes from the fact that Tony Thomas was the son of entertainer Danny Thomas.

Phil Sloan and Steve Barri worked and wrote so many west coast surf and car songs, then started the Grass Roots with musicians from Hal Blaine's Wrecking Crew. Oh yes, and "Eve of Destruction" among so many others.

Sounds a TON like Red Rubber Ball, but written by PF Sloan & Steve Barry (wonder if Paul Simon who wrote Red Rubber Ball ever heard this)? who are these guys? I Like it~!!!!!

I like this. Although it's obviously heavily derivative of "Red Rubber Ball," it's still a great tune in it's own right.
