Wolflair, the maker of army builder software for generating army lists for table top strategy games has a similar tool for the RPG fans out there. This is my first impressions of the software as we prepare to dive into pathfinder reviews.

WolfLair's Hero Lab software can be found at:

Pathfinder can be found at:

  • Looks very nice, but why would a group only play with one rulebook? Everyone has one in our games...

  • @mage189 Usually for our games we have 6 players and 2 rulebooks. Cost is the primary issue. But also because we try so many different systems that we take turns with purchasing new stuff.

  • lovw your reviews !

  • Thanks!!!

  • were doyou get this game!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hero Lab and Pathfinder can be found at many local gaming stores, or you can go straight to their respective sources.... links in the description (just added).

  • @Velocinox pcgen also covers most of the character creation options for pathfinder, but is free

  • I would have probably given it a bit lower rating considering for the pathfinder package runs up to $100. That's the same amount as the major Pathfinder hardbound books, with a subscription purchase, or everything they have printed in .PDF form. Tough call, considering you can buy the entire Pathfinder library with the same money you would spend on something you can do for free with a character sheet, dice and a pencil. Seems like a 'fool and his money' kind of situation.

  • Big help. I was having some issues and did not want to read through the online manuel. thx

  • @mage189 my group trys to bring new people in every week the new people may or may not have books or if you are just trying a new game

  • @doremicom Ahh, well that explains it just fine. I can understand if you play a lot of different game snot everyone can buy all the rulebooks. I've just seen a lot of gamers who are a bit more on the too cheap to buy them and are kind of hurting the advantages we have at my FLGS when we ask for something to be brought in. Bad experiences with other players.

  • good one thx

  • Yes but that is only for Sorcerers not for the other classes, all races are even and does not lead to unbalanced campaigns, bad DMs lead to unbalanced campaigns.

  • that is good lol
