Informational picket to inform the public about the disastrous decision made by US Postal Management to consolidate mail processing and relocate originating mail cancellation to Tacoma. Several American Postal Workers Union (APWU) locals attended to also show support for Olympia Local President Clint Burelson who was terminated while performing protected activities negotiating with USPS management.

At least Obama talks of an attempt to stop this country from hemorrhaging jobs to third world sweatshops which is where the conservatives have shipped all production jobs. In 1992-93 philadelphia unions exposed the Postmaster to the news (radio and tv) and ended with his postal career. Contact the Phila Local and get some information about how it was done. The NALC also has been successful at obtaining discipline for management officials due to a arbitration decision in their favor. Talk with your NALC, we all know what's up with these mgmt dinosaurs and how they are running our service to the ground, it is thru the media we can expose them effectively.
