A review of 3 different outliners used for Glass Painting. The Ouliners are Gallery Glass by Plaid, Fun and Fancy by Marabu and C2 by Glas Design ( Hobby Line). The outliner (sometimes called contour paste, liquid leading or relief ) is used both direct from the bottle and from a piping bag made from Grease proof paper
@jazzdiva04 No problem, best of luck with it... obviously I expect to see photos!

@jazzdiva04 If you can't bake it then for a major piece of work like that I would suggest a cellulose based glass paint. It smells strong when you're using it (nail varnish ) and you have to do it in a well ventilated room! The only place I know where they sell it now it Fred Aldous (FA Glass Stain Lacquer).
If you want a really authentic look you may wish to consider using adhesive lead rather than outliner or a major border with adhesive lead and the more intricate parts with outliner.

Thanks so much for this review! In a few weeks I plan to paint the glass panels in 3 ancient cassette doors I´ve stripped and restored in this 400-year old house in Germany. I´m thinking rustic designs will fit the charachter of this farm house nicely, including wild songbirds for the door to my music room. Which paints would you suggest for a more lasting finish (I won´t be able to remove the glass to bake it)?
