Story is so untrue....i worked with this young man here in Alaska at Eielson AFB. he was with a party and 3 people shot the animal with a .338 on Hitchinbrook Island....and it was the 3rd biggest

@sweetypie000 The reason humans are apex predators is because we are smart enough to develop weapons. Intelligence is an evolutionary trait that gives us an advantage, so using a gun to kill a bear is just as natural as it is for a bear to tear you to shreds. Guns equalize the fight.
