That looks like fun. I'd want one of those bikes just for that, going fast down some sort of slope.

test drive one so youll realize that recumbents are faster on the flats and just as difficult to drive uphill as an upright bike.

I'm curious to know if training on a recumbant produces higher average speeds then a standard UCI legal road racing bike? On any hill the power loss will slow you down but on a relatively flat stretch I'm assuming your 5 mph quicker maby?

thats a really cool video!! I ride a hurricane as well may i ask what speed you have had it up to and what is the chainwheel size on the front? many thanks

hi uncletam, I don't recall the speed but I reckon it's not more than 55km/h. My maximum speed ever was 83 km/h in the Italian alps though. I should count the 'teeth' on the chainweel side. It must be about 45-50. All best, Peter
