Sort of like Creepshow. In an age with cutting edge FX techniques like Poltergeist, The Thing and The Exorcist, Creepshow kept it simple, but effective.

Queen's music for this movie is a masterpiece.

For the effects back in the 80s what would people expect? Of course this version is cheesy. I don't care how much CGI has improved, come 2012 for the NEW release, THIS (80s) version will still be the best.

Certainly beats the crap out of that shitty series on the Sci-Fi channel

That Sci Fi Channel Galactica-like remake of this version was CRAP!  You can't beat the sexy camp of the original!

this was a corny movie, but a classic! its one of those goofy ones that works. great cast! love the sound track by Queen. Max von Sydow said this was actually his favorite movie he had made because of the costumes he got to wear and everyone had such fun making it!
