Spaying and neutering is simply the right thing to do. Over the millennia, we humans have domesticated dogs and cats to the point that they depend on us. So as far as nature goes, it is our responsibility to help control their population.
Yes, it broke my heart taking away my cat's ability to give birth, but the uncertain fate of a half dozen beautiful kittens would grieve me much more!
Spaying and neutering = less death!
It's up to us.

We don't own them just like parents don't OWN their children they're living creatures not property. theres different more humane ways to keep them from breeding out of control. Which is worse, tampering with nature by not allowing domestic cats to breed freely, or tampering by putting millions to sleep? How would you like to be killed with no say in the matter? If ignorant people were also neutered on a wide scale, we'd not only cut down on dumbasses, but also unwanted domestic animals and republicans.

Don't tamper with nature? We tamper with nature by keeping domesticated animals. Not spaying a cat increases thier risk for mamary and uterus cancer, more so than neuter increases the risk of prostate cancer for males.
