Every year I plant Canna Lily rhizomes to attract hummingbirds. It works year after year. This is a video of my first hummingbird sighting Summer 2010 on 7/26 at 5:40 pm.

  • I love canna plants! especially because they attract these lovely hummingbirds! What kind of canna is that on the video? i dont have that one it looks like a red-orange one...thanks!

  • @im2sexy4mykat Hi, thanks for your comment. I don't know the official name but I know them as "Tall Red" Canna Lilies. Mine grow up to about 8 feet!

  • I'm trying Canna Lillies for the first time I just planted Cleopatra in memory Elezebith Taylor may RIP . I hope it grows I've also planted some Tropincana Canna's. I'm just curious how manay bulbs you planted in a hole ? I planted 3 in hole.

  • @clydelady2 Hi, yeah, those look like nice tall plants! how wonderful, I have about 8 different types of cannas and im always looking for rare specimens...keep growing them maybe you can sell some rhizomes or seeds on ebay...thanks.
