@ONU34 We are spirituality not religious! You have to remember the white man coined the word religion. When he came in contact with African people over a period of time. He watched Africans ways of life a termed it religion from his concept view or understanding of what he saw of us. Basically defining us through his worldview. We've been in trouble every since having our enemies and oppressors determining and shaping our minds and worldview.

Thank goodness we can agree to disagree. I, for one, was overjoyed that we had so many youngsters in the crowd. It was indeed a "family affair", and that was exactly what we set out to create. And, I believe that had been able to experience the energy, the vibe, and the feeling of unity that we all got to share for those 50 minutes or so...you probably wouldn't have minded hearing those babies in the background @greenfaceman

@FarriaLaw. Whilst I agree with the idea of children embracing the culture, I think that a child crying is definitely too young, to appreciate something of that magnitude. Some children are ready for that experience at a very young age, and others are not. It is to those that I speak, and children should not be made to sit and be quiet, who are not ready for it. I doubt that a child is ready for, "Christopher Columbus and the African Holocaust."

This man had all the answers. He knew exactly where, when and how we were at our best in history. I love Dr. Clarke.

We actually encouraged and invited all of our folks to bring the kids...we wanted everybody we could..to experience this master teacher in action....this was a college a campus...and we are all about honoring our elders..embracing our culture, sharing the knowledge and creating lasting memories..especially for our children..and the children of our brothers and sisters...@greenfaceman

Man it's really annoying to hear children making a whole lot of noise, and the stupid mother doesn't care about the disruption. That is an insult to Dr Clarke, may he Rest In Peace. I have never seen a baby in a University class, disturbing the students. Black people are too damned in-disciplined, they need to get a grip.

@SUPERDYKEful How you know? Shut your dumb ass up, you trying to compare two different atrocities that's dumb. The Indian comes from the black man, all you have to do is look at the pyramids and connect the science..

Damn! We need another Clarke!
Alright folks...this lecture was given back in either 94' or 95' (I can't exactly recall)..but this was held at the ground floor auditorium of Gladfelter Hall on the campus of Temple University. Myself and couple of sisters and brothers in the AAAS department organized all of the African Students on Campus (Black Student Union, Pan-Hel, Caribs, Cont. Africans, all of us)...to pitch-in pass the hat and pack the room...we pulled it off..when nobody thought we could be that UNITED!

The ultimate question for me is this: when are we going to get together and rebuild Africa?
