The "digital divide" is nothing new. Of course there's gonna be a divide, just like there's a divide between rich and poor. That's what happens in a capitalist society. No one said capitalism makes EVERYONE rich or best off. But we have to deal with the worse-off people the best way possible, and the best way is not just to give them handouts without giving them a HAND-UP and giving them higher-paying jobs and skills to actually afford these things and not be dependent on gov't.

"How would they know hwo to vote" Are you serious?? Uh, there's plenty of non-digital media for that: newspapers, magazines, cspan, etc. Don't give me that crap. The Internet hasn't totally destroyed all other media and information sources. And wh y is it we always try to subsidize something else for poor people? What should be done, rather, is help these people get HIGH-PAYING jobs so they can afford it, rather than forcing them to be on the gov't dole and stay poor. It's inhumane.
