  • @MrLeedsman I just bought a 80s Charvel Model 4, and I'm pretty sure that yours is one, too. If you don't mind I'd like to her your opinion on it, especially on the tremolo. Mine is just being set up by a luthier, so I haven't really played it yet :-)

  • @llgnr It's a little stiffer than a modern system but I can switch to drop D without unlocking and retuning all the strings. I can't do that on any of my other Floyd systems.

  • @MrLeedsman If I pull mine down it doesn't go back into tune until i raise it a bit up and leave it in normal position. Some say I have to change the baseplate and the bolts. Do you think it is compatible with schaller parts?

  • @llgnr I doubt it but am always suprised how different guitar parts fit together. Have you tried retuning after a dive to see if that tuning holds up better?
