My parents immigrated legally to the U.S. so they could have a better life. They followed all laws and procedures. Why should illegal immigrants be allowed to come to the U.S. without following rules like my parents had to do? It's not fair, it's like rewarding people for breaking the law. Our father learned a trade that became a worthwhile career and they started a family. Now, years later, my parents are both retired and living comfortably and I have a family. Go Ron Paul 2012!

Amnesty would be horrible for our economy. We're talking about a large addition to our country's poor class which will drain more from the economy than it would put into it. Deportation is also a bad idea since costs to identify and deport illegal aliens would far surpass any benefit deportation would bring. The best thing we can do is let them stay, not offer them free education, not offer them amnesty, etc. Secure the borders and shoot on site.

@hectorsalinasisback...wow...y­ou have a mouthful as a 1st generation US citizen...well I am a 4th generation citizen and am married to a foreign national who cannot adjust status due to the way current immigration laws are set up. They want him to leave and wait 10 years to reeapply. We have 3 small children, careers, a home, extended family,etc. How is it fair that I am left with the burden of managing this family we created while he is in another country or that I would have to go live

Any attempt to enable illegal aliens must, it seems, warp us all into some twisted thing, like radical Communism, Neo-Communism. How? The bottom line with Communism is that it dictates free access to articles of consumption; the Neo, the radical part, goes a step further and favors outsiders over citizens, granting illegal aliens MORE access to articles of consumption.

They are being used for dishonorable reasons by both political parties and a brutal subculture feeding off their illegal status. There is no "right" in any of these positions. Amnesty simply doesn't work. We CAN'T have it because it is destroying our country.

@deesilvestre The difference between your father and my father is that my father immigrated legally and followed all laws and rules, while your father broke the law and did not follow the rules. That means your father was an "illegal immigrant." My father taught me that it's ok to question things, but it's never ok to break the law. He taught me to do what was right and follow the rules.
