Reaching out to a cross section of teen demographic, the spot features a male and female athlete late for a game. It draws on the analogy of the big game and life, and not being able to affect change sitting it out on the bench.

  • give me your address I want to come over and kick the crap out of your mother.

  • awesome, a 2 month late reply... i wasn't really aiming that comment at you anyway i just wanted to be underneath the first reply :)

  • hey i just wanted to get first i didnt even see it...

  • True. And I don't really care about spelling if someone's ideas are solid.

If you notice, that was the only thing I originally wanted to address here. His ideas about the Electoral College were a little off, and I just wanted to point that out.

And I did so, in a manner a LOT more civilized than most people would've.

    Thanks, sincerely, for your comments.

  • Ok, well, thanks for the semi-backhanded compliment. :)

I don't feel very distracted. I wasn't joking. I addressed a serious issue, and have yet to have anyone intelligently defend an opposing point of view.

But I am glad to see your posts containing less namecalling and ad hominem attacks. Thanks!

  • TANGENT ALERT

And no, that one wasn't a typo, I just can't spell for beans...always been more fond of grammar myself, seems so much more right brained somehow...

  • You remind me of some people I know, smart people, but so easily distracted...

I don't care that he doesn't know how the Electoral College operates, that's not what I've been addressing all along

The point being that you can't really make a seemless transition from joking to serious discussion in a forum like this w/o some kind of clue.

  • Namecalling. A sure way to win any intellectual debate, so long as you're a 12-year-old, on the school playground. Thanks. :)

  • (cont)

And if I were to tell someone to "look up" something, I'd make sure I proofread, and spelled it right myself.

And to prove I overlook (possible) typos all the time, notice that I didn't mention that you misspelled "subtlety".

Nor am I insulting you about it now. :)

  • LOL! That's the weakest non sequitur comeback I've read all month. :D
