I did indeed. I guess it's the come-uppance for aiming to be "exclusive" and appealing to a narrow group of the rich and priveleged. That applies across the board of course .. property tycoons, bankers, lifestyle consumerism nonsenses... it's a mad world!

Have you had an unexpected issue of the Tresco Times in the last week? I did. It all looked rather like a desperate sales pitch...they are clearly struggling in the current economic climate. The deals on some cottages/New Inn/Flying Boat club are unheard of.

As a timesharer I absolutely agree! Been holidaying on Tresco since long before timeshares began. Prefer the atmosphere of Bryher in particular and feel a degree of embarassment when having to confess to being Tresco based! It's sad.

Tresco = time share "heaven." Tresco is a lovely island but is totally spoilt as it is another Chelsea on Sea. This will happen everywhere else in the Isles in the coming years if the Duke of Cornwall has his way. It would be nice if the Duchy invested more of their income from the Isles back into the Isles for the benefit of the locals rather than the rich end of the visitor market.
