The bass line for Gary Numan's Music for Chameleons. Played originally by Pino Palladino, though, at first, it sounds a bit like Mick Karn. The bass is a 1984 transitional Steinberger XL2 lined fretless. video captured on my phone.

Incredible job! I am a big fan of Gary Numan and obviously he has had two incredible bass guitar players work with him in Mick Karn and Pino Palladino. My question to you is if you had to choose, who was more genious in there playing. I find then both mind-blowing but with a slight edge to Karn. Thanks.

I think they're very different, really. Pino is amuch more competent sideman than karn, who always dominated whatever he played on....my preference is for Mick, though1
