one of the prime reason why Rafale was given priority in MMRCA deal is because of Mirage being highly successful in kargil

btw no air force had ever operated at such heights, and due to extreme adverse conditions, on 27 may, 1999, IAF did loose 2 migs ( mig 21 and mig 27) there after mirage 2000 were pressed into operations sucessfully
