Ashford Castle is a luxury 5 star Castle Hotel in Cong, Co. Mayo in the West of Ireland. This five star luxury hotel dates back to 1228 and was once the estate of the Guinness family. In 1939, the 5 star castle opened as a hotel and in 2008 was voted the 'Best Resort' in Ireland and 2nd best in Europe by Conde Nast.
