reply button not working!? Anyway, I use a Canon ZR-80 to film, I have been capturing the video with WMM then using virtualdub to convert. We have some good weather coming next week, so I will try and capture Saturn, Mars and Jupiter directly with virtualdub.

Right, I've got a webcam (logitech quickcam) can i just plop it into the telescope eyepiece holder, (webcam is round so i'll have to glue on a 35mm canister it fits perfectly in the scope) take some video and away i go? Do i first take the lens off the webcam to expose the little square sensor?
Is this ok for first time playing or am i totally missing something? Thanks.

@peteq1972 I think you really need to register for the forums on my site and ask the questions there along with, if possible, pics of the actual camera.

Nice job! I will have to download the new ver. Do you know if it will take a avi captured in windows movie maker yet? Registax 5 would not read it.

@redshift40 No idea but in all honesty you shouldn't be using windows movie maker to take astro AVI's, I highly recommend sharpcap for webcams.

@redshift40 You can probably make movie maker AVI's run in registx by downloading virtualdub, download virtualdub, launch it, drag your avi into the window, click file, click "Save As AVI"
