The guest on this installment of Rothman Tech-Tips (#RTT) is Andrew Milo of Google, and the topic of our discussion is the Google Search Appliance. Andrew is a Enterprise Sales Engineer, and we filmed this vlog at the Google office in downtown Chicago.
The Google Search Appliance (aka the GSA), is an appliance-like server that brings the functionality of google.com to your enterprise environment. This appliance brings the Google searching capabilities to your internal intranet system, or to your public facing website.
Since one of the recurring themes of this vlog is food, I had Andrew him tell me about his all-time favorite meal. He mentioned Hy Steakhouse in Toronto, Canada, and recommended the filet mignon. Since I live the mantra "When in Rome", I had to have some Chicago-style pizza before I left that great city. So, I had my friend Scott bring to his favorite spot, Lou Malnatis Pizzeria, in the Gold Coast area -- man, that was some amazing deep dish!
