Anyway You Want It Suhr Aldrich Passive Pickups

Here's a Journey cover called "Anyway You Want It"
The backing track was done by my band mates.
Roy Nichol does all the vocals...AMAZING!!!
Don Lecompte plays bass and I did the guitar.

I'm using Suhr Aldrich pickups...man do I like them. I hate passive pickups but these are just incredible!!! Love them!

Using my Suhr OD100se+ into a Suhr 2x12" cab miked with an Apex 435 and a Shure SM57. I accidentally damaged my Apogee Duet so I borrowed an Edirol UA-25 I used my Joe Meek Twin! as the mic preamp and went into Logic Pro 9

Great playing and amazing tone!! I'm very interested in getting the SE+. That lead tone is just the sound I'm looking for. My question is are you using any effects or boosts for the lead tone or is that all the amp?

I use a BOSS PQ4 and a Suhr Koko Boost in front of the amp, not so much to boost but to cut some lower mids.

The amp absolutely SLAYS!!! The amp on it's own has the fattest lead tone around :)

No, the volume pedal is in the loop of the OD100 which is low impedance :)

@MiketheGuitarDude91 6505 is probably less than half the price of a Bob Bradshaw boutique amp. The OD100 will by all accounts be a 'better' amp, but voiced differently to the 6505. You should demo both if you can. I own a VH4 and despite the massive price difference, I think the 6505 is a killer amplifier for the money. It sounds much, much better than it costs. I'd go 6505 personally & save your pennies. Resale on CAA isn't great either.

Mark, pay no mind to the haters, they are just jealous. I know I am, you are a positively blistering player. I'm a neophyte, only mess around a bit and play mostly rhythm stuff (not good enough for most leads yet) but have been improving. Been watching your vids for about a year now, really great stuff. This Any Way You Want It is a clinic in how to play this song, especially the solo, which is insane. I plan to get some of these Suhr pickups for my PRS Custom 24 SE soon based on your vids.
