  • Sorry I don't see in the description, but was credit given to the original writer of 5 Nights of Bleeding by Linton Kwesi Johnson, upon which this was mostly based? I know this song/poem very well, and I noticed most of it remains intact. Or were folks made to believe this was a complete original? I didn't see where it says the goal was to craft a new poem based off a pre-existing one. You may want to mention that in the main description here so Linton Kwesi Johnson followers dont get upset

  • @restlessdaydreamer The description got truncated with the new YouTube format, but yes, Karl gives credit to Johnson every time he performs that piece. See my comment above. I've had a number of comments on this over the years, and I think it's great that Johnson fans are so loyal and protective. Karl's honoring a piece that he loves and that inspires him, not ripping anyone off. Thanks for watching!

  • Yeah, so, removed by 'author' means the author of the comments. You have the option of removing yours too. I don't censor, though I do reserve the right to remove comments that are abusive and have no other purpose. That said - if you read the description on the right, Karl intros this poem by talking about the poem you mention and that the point of this piece was to craft a new poem out of an existing one that he loves. So the lesson: read before you accuse ppl of stealing and censorship.

  • hey scamon01 dude relax there boss its poetry who cares??

  • Not sure what you're referring to. I'm pretty relaxed. The discussion above was because the commenter below accused me of censoring, and I was explaining that the author removed his own comment. Check out my other videos - plenty of comedy along with the poetry.

  • @osocali look at the comment exchange between restlessdaydreamer and the poster up top.

  • 2:54, just one clap.

  • but this guy is just simply stealing....I'm sure this comment will probably be "removed by author" as several already were and they probably had the same reaction to this drivel....funny but if poetry is about expressing your thought/feelings why are you sensoring the comments....

  • everytime I listen to the first guy i get pissed at the audacity of him taking an LKJ poem and just changing some words and acting like he actually created something of relevance. this guys is a complete hack. we all have our influences
