Diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer in 2007, I've undergone numerous procedures involving chemo, radiation, and surgical.

Since finding their way to my lung cavity, The cancer cells have been giving me additional problems by creating a plural effusion
around my lung area (fluid). This is the second time this has been done.

Volume removed 1000mL

  • To me, the worst thing about cancer is that it's a slow killer. It wears you down, making you gradually waste away. It's really tragic for something like this to happen to someone so young.

  • Life is so unfair... so cruel... at the age of 28, with almost no vices, he developed cancer.... then you'll hear that the person that had the longest lifespan is a smoker...

  • Have you looked into using a hyperbaric chamber? My rating is for the dr performing the thoracentesis. I didn't like how she advanced the catheter needle. I'd say she might have blasted right through your plura into your lung. I certainly wouldn't want her threading a catheter on me for an epidural. Just sayin.

  • really, very sorry to hear that. God bless

  • :(

  • :o on his blog it says he died, how awful :(

  • hope that makes u feel better
