Grinding valve seats on a new Japanese cylinder head to improve concentricity of guides and seats.
From factory we find up to 0.07mm ereurs!

  • @DrMMHMD Thank you for your comments, In my experience new cylinderheds from the factory do not meet our standards for concentricity beetwen guides and valve seats; Typicalywe achieve les than 0.005 mm TIR where as new from factory we have found up to 0.12 TIR 8

    Also as we are using coated titanium valves8 So lapping is not possible.

    the precision obtained is extraordinary, no lapping required, also it is air tight and concentric with the guides.

    to grind 5 seats ,3 angles for each seat total 1.5 hours

  • yeah nice work but seams like, time for set up and truing the cylinder head to the machine would take too long for just a little valve seat, its kinda over kill ya think?
