This is one of the oldest skate video I've ever seen; and one of the best. You can see the real origin of skateboarding and the men who invented it. Enjoy the video!

  • wooww that looks so awesome do these bowls still excist?

  • OMFG. The advertising in the right hand corner while I'm watching this is from the Government of Canada and it says:

(Big scary red letters) Did you know that

(Smaller black letter) a child's skill can fracture on impact at only 7km/h?

And there's a graphic of a cracked egg.

Mother fuck me. No wonder you little dudes can't have any fun, anymore. The government is systematically scaring the fuck out of your parents.

  • @contact1araya

Isn't it? Is it just me, or is the singer hitting some really sour notes?

  • @schuey999

Alva's "Elvis on acid" look was always a personal favorite. He must shake his head in a "what was I thinking manner" when he looks at some of the old footage? Little punk kid in Liberace's hand me downs, lol.

  • @norcoburton

I think that you are probably right about more skaters riding rails and doing tricks now, as opposed to sraight out skating. I mean, look at even the non skate products that use skaters in their advertising? It's always some dude killing a perfect rail, not just some kid ollie'ing to the park.

  • My wife's best friend walked around with an unset broken wrist for 3 days the summer that they were 13 because they weren't supposed to be out skating the day that he did it and he didn't want to get my wife, or himself, in trouble.

Poor fucker must have been in AGONY, and his parents didn't know until he almost passed out knocking his wrist getting up from the kitchen table.

I'd rather see a fat kid on a skateboard getting out there and living life than a blubbery kid so pale he looks albino that you knows been dragged away from the computer or video console by force.

You keep on keeping on, bro :).

  • At the beginning of this documentary they seemed really conscious of the cameras, but once they get out there skating its like everything falls away. I'm not a skater, and i'm too much of a wuss to try, but i have mad respect for these people, it's so intense just to watch.
