Photojournalist and filmmaker John D McHugh spent months embedded with troops in Afghanistan. His series of films have come to define the Afghan conflict for broadcasters and viewers alike. Oustanding journalism!
Quitting his secure job to cover the Afghanistan conflict, McHugh is extremely passionate about this series. I will admit I was hooked on the story in Afghanistan recalls John, Not the danger or adrenaline, but the story itself. I could see that the reality on the ground was very different to the story being told back in the west. This documentary brings together John's reporting from across Afghanistan. In one instance he follows a US dust-off crew using helicopters for medical evacuation, Dust-off crews pride themselves on their reaction times. This later proved lucky for John, I am a member of an exclusive club: I have been shot during a gunfight.

@killerjon12 Forget that shit.. During the Vietnam war the U.S. soldiers did not know how to fight off guerilla warfare, which lead to so many civillians dieing at the hand of the army.

We do not whole areas where we think the enemy is located since we do not always know if there are any civillians or more importantly, if there are any taliban!

During the vietnam war, they simply dropped a bunch of napalm and that was the solution, not here.

Who created TALIBAN it was America with the Aid of Pakistan. Yes easy to find this information out, you have internet!  To me it sound like there is a third person (Or nation) who pulling the string for there politic benefits.
