Last year I opened http://arcanaintellego.blogspot.com versus that experiment. Now big scientists in http://lhcdefense.org/ made a big non-profit association to know to all the world what's happening

  • I hope The LHC will be the first part of a very CLEAN ENERGY PROJECT for all peoples: We need energy and atomic fusion is the real response. But to do a good and coplète information we must to write als about these worries, i think.

  • i hope it opens up a super massive black hole and we all get sucked into it,i am sure there will be intelligent aliens on the otherside that will save us and give us future tech toys to play with

  • FUCK U!!! MUST PROTECT LHC!!!

  • Collision of nuclei will show their particles. BH is a conjecture same as Time Dilation, Big Bang & Parallel Universe. Splitting atom gave A bomb & Nuclear Energy. Splitting Nucleus is the same. Man decides its use. Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostics, Nano Tech shall be the main beneficiaries among others. It might reveal Gods particle theorized to make Mass: Creation. Religious folks not to worry, Keep on believing. Religions have brought science where it needs no divinity. Thanks you Religions.

  • it wont end the earth but the LHC is not at full power they will keep trying the collisions at higher and higher speeds till they are happy its ok to do the full test could be another year yet.

  • it dosn't work like that. the black hole comes when the particles collide

  • well it looks like you were wrong. they turned it on and the universe still exists, as does the earth. so maybe you should let the thousands and thousands of physics PhDs working on this to make claims about apocalypses.

  • Quantum physics is fascenating, but the unkowns here are freightening

  • assuming the big bang even happened... I'm not so sure the universe even needs a starting point. Besides that, it's the conditions *after* big bang they're going for, not the big bang itself. As for no practical concrete benefit, I don't think Benjamin Franklyn was going after any kind of practical concrete benefit when testing whether or not lightening was electricity. Just because we can't foresee a use for the knowledge doesn't mean the knowledge is useless.

  • FFS! They are not trying to recreate Big Bang!

They are trying to break down protons and neutrons to get a better knowledge of what they are build of (I know they are build of quarks or something - thats the name in Danish)...

Doing that will give us knowledge about Big bang, but it surely won't "recreate" it, because we don't KNOW what started Big bang (well, dooo'h ^^)...

But stop being paranoid! These things have taken place many times before, and then it would've already happened by now.

  • ok, honestly, use your head. if there was a chance that this could create something that could destroy the world they wouldn't do it just to recreate a mini version of the big bang isn't going to happen. they arn't that stupid
