its not about cost benefit..its not about federal or state law..and it is an insult to my intelligence to say WE can change the law..we cant change shit..we never voted to outlaw marijuana in the first place...we have the god given right to grow and harvest whatever natural growing plant exists...tax revenue is a farce, private bankers control

It will probably still be illegal on a federal level until most of the states have legalized it and we've got 10 years of evidence that legalizing pot has:

Saved billions of state & federal funds.

Reduced crime in the affected areas.

Has resulted in ADDITIONAL state funds.

Decreased use of other dangerous chemicals, (heroin, meth, etc.), in reflection to increased LEGAL pot use.

Schedule I is not necessarily deadlier than Schedules II-V either; Pentobarbital Sodium is schedule II, and is by far the deadliest drug out there. As addictive as heroin, and unlike heroin, there the therapeutic window is very small, and there is no antidote, and it cause death far more rapidly (Medullary paralysis).

And, Heroin will eventually become schedule II when people realize that it is the greatest gift you could give to the terminally ill.

Wrong, methamphetamine hydrochloride is a Schedule II drug; it is used under the brand name Desoxyn to treat narcolepsy, the most severe forms of ADHD, and morbid obesity. Do your research. And, the only difference between schedule II and schedule I is whether or not it has an accepted medical use, not how safe, and/or how addictive it is. Cocaine hydrochlorides ONLY medical use is as a topical local anesthetic for eye, oral and nasal surgery. Ignorance is frightening.

Hard to believe this still has to be debated, It's obvious that the people want the laws reformed and that Marijuana is not a dangerous drug at all, the only danger involved is having to go to a drug dealer to get your pot.
