My uncle just gave me an old ass desktop with an athlon xp processor but IDK what model exactly, but I need a monitor and way more upgrades to fit with modern pcs

How is the thermal paste supposed to be applied in these cpus, just a tiny bit in the middle, or spread a tiny layer on top of the little rectangle.

You could play ut2004 on this cpu even today just dont to a server with more than 16 players so its still useble,but this is a palamino-type amdxp and gets really hot with standard cooler
