A movie they couldn't make now .. there isn't the talent out there in Hollywood.
Jack deserved that oscar..he was sort of playing himself

my brother made me watch this movie it was awesome one of my favourites but they are trying to tear down the building it was filmed at but apparently they can't cause it's an historic Oregon building....

I've first watched this movie last year, then watched maybe ten times more, and i cried when McMurphy died in every sigle time. Scuh an amazing job, movie acting and suitable sounds.
wish mc couldnt die, and continued one volume more..

Great comment HermaWaG.........Im 52, and to this day I think of parts of this movie that made an impression on me. There is alot of emotions and feeling on how you treat people without judement.

I saw this movie for the first time yesterday, I am twenty years old and I knew my mother always had always loved it and she told me she saw it 4 times in the cinema when it came out (which for her is a lot). And I was just blown away by it, I believe great movies get made today, but I doubt they will stand the test of time like this one did, it left a huge impression on the film industry and it left a huge impression on me!

This brilliant film must be Jack Nicholson's greatest performance ever. This 'microcosm of a macrocosm' is a true reflection of this "INSANE' world in which we live, and like McMurphy, I would like to be the one who made a break for "FREEDOM" as 'One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest' :-)!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep :), and Nicholson is my favourite actor too, his performance in this was top notch. Check out The Shining too, that's another of his greatest IMO.
