1985, 7th grade Valentine's Day dance, I danced to this with my so called boyfriend Malcolm-who I only "went with" for four days. He smelled like peanut butter the whole time. I still remember what I was wearing!!! After this song went off, I ran outta there like Cinderella because my Papa was waiting in the car and didn't know I snuck into the dance!! Whoa this brings back some great memories!

This song was one of the best.. I lost a man that I thought loved me twenty some years ago. I found myself searching for this song, because I found myself crying to the same song twenty plus years again same song, man with the same name differnt person . I guess I will get it right this time .I Give up on love it happens only once and then its gone. Yet it will hold on to your heart forever.that is why I love this song no mater what. this song became etched in my memory August 4 1997.. me and 5 of my cousins were returning from the hospital ..their mother (my aunt) just lost her battle with an aneurysm..we were riding home in my car in silence.. this song came on and we all started singing this song ( no crying..we cried enough).. we were happy singing this song, we were strangely, emotionally relieved singing this song in my car August 4 1997...
