A Sydney band who moved to London and received greater recognition overseas than in their native Australia. They played an electronic industrial style of music and this was their release from November 1984, which failed to chart.

  • I love the way the famous almighty Fairlight (also Australian!) has been incorporated into the video;-) And the whole feel of the vid is also very Mad Max... so, you can leave Australia., but you can't take Australia out of the girl...

  • underrated, brilliant mix of synth pop and industrial, i was 14, when this came out

  • their best song by far, love it

  • i got to see them several times in sydney in the mid-late 80's,don't blame them for heading overseas to a bigger audience,a big thanks to my school friend Darren who first told me about SPK:) I think ive got about 4-5 albums including SYSTEM PLANNING KORPORATION from 1979/80,but the first album i had was MACHINE AGE VOODOO-i'm just about to convert it to digital for the ipod, thanks ausie80ss for posting:)

  • @oscartedmiles yeah true but you have to admit this is ordinary by their standards

  • Hey Reptile, get a grip. This is from, like 1984 and pre-dates anything by Chemical Bros. Prodigy, Fatboy, Crystal Method or anything done by DJ's by about 10 years, and still sounds great today. A great catalyst for what was to come in the 90's industrial and indie, big beat sound.

  • Soooooo soooooo soooooo bad - I never realised SPK jumped onto the pop band wagon and turned into...SH1TE!

  • just about all of the artists who could be considered first wave industrial flirted with synthpop at one time or another.

  • S.P.K were great...and Sinan was HOT!

  • LOVE BUTTON

  • Liked SPK a lot...LOVED Sinan!
