@bilbosilbo I'm no teenager and married but my contraceptive failure is now three. The only hundred per cent is celibacy. And you know what I am almost jealous of the teens that got pregnant in my year at school. They now have kids going away to college and uni, I'm still dealing with nappies. Not to mention because they got jobs straight out of school instead of going to uni - they are in less debt and bought their houses before the prices went crazy. They are great mums.

@DiamondSmilesAgain "thrust into a situation"?? YOU are the problem. No one is thrust into motherhood. It is a choice. There are things called contraceptives. My generation used them and grew up having fun. That generation is fucking retarded and get all the misery they deserve. And NO, she will never be a great mother. NEVER!

A fantastic record from OMD back to their best I think with this one, the album is fantastic and a must for any fan.

It is a commentary on modern day Britain. Kids forced to grow up too fast, not prepared in any way shape or form for motherhood and thrust into a situation they are not equipped for. Sort of a happy ending here in that she at least looks like she might make a decent mother. Young ladies like this are in reality very resilient they just shouldn't have to be.
By the way OMD, as always, brilliant!

This is so sad but it has a beautiful moral to the story... I can't imagine the pain girls in this kind of situation feel... I know so many who go through this at the school I'm going to...
