I don't know if it's 100% true that the school is facing "bankruptcy" since it's merely a branch of the school board itself, but I've been told that the costs of running the school on a yearly basis are indeed rather high. Also, combined with declining enrollment and a newer (and albeit gayer) Catholic high school out in the middle of butt-fuck nowhere, they'll be forced to close one of the schools. And why close St. Chris and admit your mistakes when you can close St. Pat's and save face?
