2006 National Scholastic Indoor Track & Field Championships, New Balance Track & Field Center (The Armory), New York City - March 11, 2006
Brandon Saine, a Junior from Piqua, OH easily wins this semi final race in a time of 6.87 seconds.
The real race was for second place, with .01 separating places two through five runners in a blanket finish. However, only second place will makes the final. Another reason why you should never ease up before finish line unless you advance to the next round for sure.
FYI, Brandon Saine went on to win this meet in another photo finish with a time of 6.79 seconds. (Second place finisher Evander Wells clocked the same time).
Here are the results of this semi:
1. Saine, Brandon (Piqua, OH) - 6.87
2. Osei, Eric (East Providence, RI) - 6.98
3. Black, Bruce (Hamilton, NJ) - 6.98
4. Richards-Kwok, Dontae (Toronto, ON) - 6.99
5. Richard, Bianco (Montreal, QC) - 6.99
6. Headley, Stephen (Wilbraham, MA) - 7.09
