No I have not played the original famicon version, I played the neutered US nes version, I didn't know there was an arcade version until I played it on a capcom arcade hits game for playstation. I realized the arcade version was the original once playing it, but the nes version is what got me started on bionic commando. Hey what is the differences between JAP VS US Bionic Commando, besideds the removal of nazi symbols?

There are a lot of differences... there are websites and videos that show them. The Japanese version is much more polished, has some extra graphical effects, more obstacles, a little greater challenge, the infamous prisoner interrogation part, and 1-up's in places where the US version just has pointless empty areas.
