Dr. Maya Angelou & Host Michael Eric Dyson

On this Christmas Eve, 2010, Host Michael Eric Dyson speaks with the legendary novelist, personal historian, poet, film maker and playwright Dr. Maya Angelou. She joins Dr. Dyson to discuss race, culture and humanity and her upcoming Presidential Medal of Freedom Award! In January 2011, Maya Angelou, along with several other noted Americans, will be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the country's highest civilian honor.

President Obama said, "These outstanding honorees come from a broad range of backgrounds and they've excelled in a broad range of fields, but all of them have lived extraordinary lives that have inspired us, enriched our culture, and made our country and our world a better place. I look forward to awarding them this honor."
