@SunPokemon That's my hope.... there are so many new CG clips from the slot machine floating around, I guess the producers are still in the drawing boards... I hope they make a 3D animation version!
@yellowlynx Also Oscar displayed fondness to Rosalie, that might be considered a lesbian behavior, which makes Oscar looked bi-sexual, another taboo in USA.....
Many people might ask why this anime is so popular in Europe (Italy, France..) but not released in USA. My speculation is that the story contains ideas that are considered by taboo by the predominantly Evangelical Christians there (who have a great influence in the TV networks): Oscar is considered a cross-dresser, she had pre-marital sex, she drank wine in many scenes, the extra-marital relationship of Marie / Fersen, the violence of the Revolution...
@lamaabdulla This series signature is its fine drawings, which was difficult work for animation back in 1970's when the animators have no computers to help them. The 21st century remake will have CG and 3D technology, and I think the producers wanted to make it perfect. I saw the CG in the slot machines, they faithfully reproduced the characters from the manga, just wonder when will they make the series and the film again.
@yellowlynx and i wish if they would release the remake of the anime soon ,, with more Andre & Oscar details, and the war she was living inside of her between a man & a women.
@yellowlynx I agree,,although it was beautiful but the Manga was way far more deep. they focused on Marie & Fersen and skipped alot of the important parts between Andre & Oscar which in my opinion is more important (I hate Fersen). And the Andre's death in the Manga is way more meaningful (Sacrificed his life For Oscar) <3
Alan too! they ignored his feelings to oscar & why he really was treating her that way..
but in any way, this series is the most beautiful one i've ever watched <3
@lamaabdulla I like the anime, except on a few places which I disagree. First is the portrayal of the Paris guards as a bunch of rowdie people and Alan being a rough guy. In the manga he's a fine officer, much more handsome and gentleman look. The other part is that Oscar embraced the Revolution ideals on her own decision in the manga, not because she wanted to follow Andre's wishes. In the manga she is always leading Andre, not the other way round.
I wish Axttraeger could reupload the soundtrack again .....
