Trey Anastasio 12.30.06 Stash

I'd go even further to say that some phish songs sound better with treys band, the orchestra and Classic TAB, first tube and sand are meant for Tonys bass not Mikes , you can ask trey if you dont believe me. Trey is meant for things like this, we all may enjoy phish, but Trey is certainly not playing and creating to his potential , i agree with what he said in the past, trey is beyond phish. The Horseshoe curve best exemplifies that. this come back is for the "phans" not trey.

I agree with everything you said except the last sentence. Yes, the reunion is for the phans but i don't think trey would do that just for the phans. he learned and went through a lot since 04 (getting busted, sober, etc.) and i think during that time is whe he rediscovered the importance of his friendship with the other phish boys.

i have seen them 5 times since they came back, they are amazing and there is not a single band out there that puts on a show like phish. I will restate what i said, when trey does stuff like this , it makes you wonder why he is still doing phish, i think the sober stuff made him realize he can do both ( time turns elastic is a great example) , however i still maintain that this is the best stash ever played. Its just so cool and well thought out , and sounds amazing.

You may be a bigger Trey fan than Phish fan.Trey solo and TAB are great but phish opened a door to music that no other band has,for Trey not to ignore his phish roots was just too strong for him,and thank god for that ! Every TAB show I was at my thoughts seemed to venture into,"god I hope Phish comes back".
I have seen some "Stash's" with phish that absolutly floored me,left me gasping for air,this rendition,not so much

firstly i would like to state that an opinion by definition cannot be wrong, it can be stupid, crazy etc, but not wrong you can say that you think its wrong, however you cannot say that it is wrong. 2nd i think Trey's solo projects were more complicated than phish's stuff, i thought he went in directions that phish was unable to. I think Phish is a great band , i just saw them in the hamptons loved it, but i can distinguish between the phish concert and kind of music they play,

is it just me or are there wayyyy to many horns during the melody, i mean even the disorienting guitar part is horned

There isn't many going, but they're way too loud in the PA so you can't hear the guitar very well.
